Applications of forklift trucks
The demand for forklift trucks is highly relevant to the manufacturing and logistics industries. Forklift trucks are various wheeled handling vehicles for loading, unloading, stacking and short-distance transportation of pallets of goods, and are a type of motorised industrial vehicle. Forklift trucks are widely used in all kinds of machinery manufacturing, construction and building materials, textiles, food production, energy, chemical industry, metallurgy, transportation, logistics and trade.
Among them, internal combustion counterbalanced forklift trucks: including ordinary internal combustion forklift trucks, heavy-duty forklift trucks, container forklift trucks and other categories, with lifting and transport functions, the counterbalance blocks equipped with counterweights at the tail can achieve large load material handling and lifting, the load range is from 0 to 60 tons, commonly used for models with a load capacity of about 2 to 6 tons, using diesel, gasoline or natural gas engines as power. These forklift trucks have a higher range of maximum load levels than electric forklift trucks and are usually used outdoors, in workshops or other locations where there are no special requirements for exhaust emissions and noise. They can be used in logistics companies, heavy industry factories, terminals and warehouses. They can also be used with different attachments in the food industry, agriculture, paper industry, waste industry and many other applications.
Recently Hifoune has developed lead-acid battery forklifts and will follow this up with pure lithium-ion battery forklifts. Lead acid battery forklifts are cheap and are used in large numbers in production and transport activities. However, when charging lead-acid batteries, they produce a phenomenon similar to the "hydrogen precipitation" of lead-acid batteries, which corrodes the wire terminals and the battery box and is not environmentally friendly. Lithium-ion batteries are the perfect solution to these problems, but they also have a lifespan of 3 to 5 years with up to 2,000 cycles and no memory effect, so they do not need to be replaced frequently. These are features that traditional lead-acid batteries do not have. However, lithium-ion batteries are expensive in terms of cost and subsequent maintenance, so Hifoune suggests that for special needs industries, such as warehousing and logistics, airport freight, etc., lithium-ion electric forklifts can be used, using fast charging mode, and within 1~2 hours, the batteries can be topped up, keeping the vehicle fully loaded and working without interruption; at the same time, after the lithium batteries have been packed, there is no need to carry out any special water and liquid filling and Periodic discharge and other work, so that the follow-up work can be greatly reduced.
