Loading forklift

Loading forklift is a type of forklift that can be operated in a standard container. Its maximum wheel pressure is less than the allowable wheel pressure value of the standard container bottom plate, and it can be safely operated inside the container, which is suitable for operation in port terminals and other places. China's first container operation forklift was successfully developed in 1985, passed technical appraisal and officially put into production in 1988. As a special model that is converted into a container operation, it has the following characteristics:

1. Shape height
The dimensions of forklift trucks for container loading operation should meet the needs of small space operation in the box. According to the provisions of ISO international standards and China GB1834 "General Container Minimum internal size", the internal minimum height of various box types is the external nominal height of the container minus 241mm; The minimum width of the door is 2286mm.

The maximum external height of the forklift for loading operation shall be the height of the container door minus the thickness of the transition plate 15mm and the safety clearance of the forklift operation 80mm-90mm. For a container with a height of 8ft(2438mm), the maximum external height of the forklift inside the container should be less than 2030mm; For a container with a height of 8ft6in(2591mm), the maximum external height of the forklift inside the container should be less than 2180mm. In addition, attention should also be paid to the height of the driver's seat, so that the driver's head will not touch the top guard frame after sitting on it; In the absence of a top guard, the height of the driver's head after sitting should not exceed the height of the door frame.

2. Axle load and wheel pressure
When the forklift truck enters the container, the wheel will produce concentrated load on the bottom of the container. According to the ISO inspection standard for the bottom of the container, the axle load is 5460kg, and the average load of each wheel is 2730kg. If the wheel width is 180mm, the ground area is 14200mm2, and the wheel base is 760mm, the wheel pressure is limited to 1.88MPa.

Therefore, the selected box forklift, the axle load and wheel pressure should be less than the above limit value, and its lifting weight is generally less than 2500kg, so the box operation forklift is usually 2t ~ 2.5t small forklift.

3. The free lifting height of the door frame and the lateral movement of the shelves and cargo forks

Because the working space of the forklift truck is strictly limited when it is operating in the container, it is required to have free lifting performance and convenient alignment function. Usually, the free lifting height of the forklift in the box is 1m to 1.5m, the lateral displacement of the shelf is 100mm, and the lateral displacement of the cargo fork is 150mm to 200mm.

4. Prevent pollution and reduce noise

The working space of the forklift inside the box is small, which requires reducing noise and preventing air pollution. The use of electric forklift is ideal. The use of internal combustion forklift requires the installation of engine exhaust purification devices and noise reduction devices.
