With the advancement of lithium battery materials, lithium-ion batteries have become more and more prominent in electric forklifts, such as fast charging at any time and long life. The advantage of electric forklifts is that they are quiet and environmentally friendly. I believe everyone can understand this, and there is no pollution when working indoors. At present, most of the batteries used in electric forklifts on the market are lithium batteries, of course, there are also lead-acid batteries, so what are the benefits of using lithium batteries for forklifts compared to lead-acid batteries?
Compared with large batteries such as lead-acid and nickel-cadmium, lithium batteries do not contain cadmium, lead, mercury and other elements that pollute the environment, and are pollution-free. When charging, it will not produce the "hydrogen evolution" phenomenon similar to lead-acid batteries, and will not corrode the wire terminals and battery boxes, which is environmentally friendly and reliable. Lithium-ion batteries can be cycled more than a thousand times, with a lifespan of 3 to 5 years, no memory effect, and no need for frequent replacement.
Fast charging and low maintenance are available. For special industries such as warehousing and logistics, airport freight, etc., lithium batteries can be charged in "fast charging mode". Within 1 to 2 hours, the battery can be fully charged to keep the vehicle at full load and work uninterruptedly; at the same time, after the lithium battery is packed, there is no need to perform any special water injection, regular discharge, etc., which can greatly reduce the follow-up.
Lithium batteries have so many benefits, but the overall cost and the cost of later replacement may exceed that of lead-acid batteries! Therefore, consumers can make comprehensive trade-offs based on long-term operating costs when choosing.
